Fairmont Mumbai, in partnership with Tourism Malaysia, is presenting a Malaysian Food & Culture Festival at its signature dining space, The Merchants — the hotel’s New Wave Foodhall — from 30 January to 8 February 2026. This ten-day culinary event invites diners in Mumbai to explore the rich, diverse flavours of Malaysian cuisine and its cultural heritage in an immersive setting.

The festival brings together Fairmont Mumbai’s culinary team and special guest chefs from Malaysia, including Chef Irwan of Adabi Consumer Industries and Chef Faridul Ataras Ab Razak of Ibis Hotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre. They are curating an authentic Malaysian menu that highlights the country’s Malay, Chinese, Indian and regional traditions.

Guests can enjoy a wide variety of dishes through live culinary stations and interactive kitchens, offering everything from pandan chicken and fried prawns to classic Malaysian vegetarian fare and signature desserts that showcase Malaysia’s culinary diversity.

The event isn’t just about food — it’s designed as a cultural celebration, with special touches like themed attire and beverages such as teh tarik and traditional Malaysian drinks that enhance the overall experience of Malaysia’s gastronomy in Mumbai.
